I am a photographer based in Minneapolis with over 20 years of experience for both personal and professional photography. I never envisioned becoming a photographer or starting a business centered around a camera, it just happened organically.
I am most passionate about being a mom/parent and my family. They are my favorite people in the world and I am so lucky to call them mine. My husband and daughters are my teachers and I enjoy learning from them every day.
I am inspired by nature and music. My favorite time to take photographs is after it rains because I love the way the colors are amplified. The cinematography from Taylor Swift’s music video, All Too Well inspires me every time I watch it. I love the sad girl Autumn vibe.
I believe in building lasting relationships with my clients. I’m honored when you choose me in the beginning and especially when you return and give me additional space. We are all navigating life and we have shared experiences. I am lucky to have the tools to document those special moments for you.
My Approach
here for the moments that make the photos
I may be a bit quiet and even a little awkward but I do my best work when I can escape into my head. With that said, our session will be a collaborative effort with your best interests in mind. We will work together to decide on all the details such as location, attire, tone of the session, and other details so that we can create the ideal space for you and yours to thrive in. I feel my best work is when you’re able to be present with your loved ones, with little to no direction from me unless needed.
It is important to me that I create images that are meaningful and honest to you. I photograph from a place of love and loss and some days it is with a full cup and some days, it is with a broken heart. My work stems from my own celebrations and challenges and it is how I am able to connect with you. I will always give you my best and my ask is that you also give me yours too.
Things to look forward to in 2025
to be still, to create
FILM:
Film has always been a safe space, a time capsule, a moment frozen in time for me… and I hope to give you a piece of that. I started my photography with film in the 2000s and am working on adding this into my work in 2025. I am currently shooting on 35mm and hope to add 120mm soon.
CAMCORDER:
We grew up in a time where owning a camcorder was a luxury for an immigrant family. Today, it isn’t, but what it produces surely can be. A short 1–2-minute video for each session will be included so you have a moving visual of what we create together. It will be grainy and shaky, imperfect even, but I hope you find the honesty as beautiful as I do.
